This page contains a directory of internal resources prepared by CAM archive staff, and external links to partner institutions and databases we recommend checking out. Canadian Automotive Research Guide (PDF); general information on a range of motoring topics, a good place to start any research project.
Carriage Research Guide (PDF); for research on horse-drawn vehicles from across Canada.

List of Inventoried Periodicals (PDF); a full listing of all the periodicals, motoring magazines and other serial publications in the CAM library. Note that the collection does not necessarily include the full published range of each periodical and there may be gaps or absences, especially with older publications.

The Benson Ford Research Centre; based out of the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Michigan, the BFRC is the definitive resource on the history of Ford, in Canada and abroad.
Canadian Motorsport Historical Society; Canada’s largest all-digital collection of motorsports history.
Canadiana.ca; part of the Canadian Research Knowledge Network, this database includes more than 60 million digitized, searchable pages of historical books, periodicals, maps and more.
Canned-Ham; the definitive research and community resource on the development, history and use of the Can-Am marque of dirtbikes.
Detroit Public Library Digital Collections; the DPL maintains a database of hundreds of thousand motoring photographs and documents spanning the whole range of North American automotive history.
Library and Archives Canada; the national archives of Canada includes audio, video, maps, photographs, genealogical and business records and more.
Oshawa Public Library; the City of Oshawa’s municipal library maintains a public database of the CAM’s library and periodicals.
The Revs Institute; based in Naples, Florida, the Revs archive includes one of the largest collections of automotive photographs and advertising in existence.
